T’it’q’et Taxation

T’it’q’et is taxing under the First Nation Fiscal Management Act (FNFMA) since 2016.  This enables T’it’q’et to leverage property tax for long-term financing.

Property tax dollars are used to cover the cost of local services and spend dollars on  local programs and services e.g. water and sewer services, police and fire protection, garbage collection, road and lighting improvements,  parks, recreation and cultural facilities.
